The Humanitarian Organisation for Migration Economics (HOME) is a registered society and charity with Institution of Public Character status. It is dedicated to upholding the rights of migrant workers in Singapore, providing them with social support services and education programmes. HOME’s activities are aimed at creating an inclusive society which upholds the principles of equality and non-discrimination.
We assist migrant workers who are abused and/or exploited. Unpaid salaries, excessive working hours, work injuries, physical, verbal and psychological abuse are some of the problems these workers face. Some of these workers may also be victims of human trafficking.
Migrant workers play a vital role in contributing to Singapore. Most low wage migrants occupy positions in the construction, marine, manufacturing, service and conservancy sectors. A significant number of women are domestic workers. Our services provide aid and support to migrants who have been abused and mistreated in Singapore.
H.O.M.E. works with government agencies, civic groups, corporations and other community partners to realise our vision. www.home.org.sg
